The Society of Canadian Cine Amateurs maintains a Music Library of Buy Out Music and Licensed Music for the use of our Members for their Amateur Videos. Most of the music may also be used for Commercial Productions. This page is designed to provide an opportunity for our members to audition this music available to them.
In all cases, the music is copyrighted and may not be copied or distributed, but may be lent to one member at a time, and copied to a computer for the purpose of copying to and synchronizing with his or her videos. Details of the Use by SCCA Members are at the bottom of this page.

the music in synchronization
for video, film, live theatrical, or any audio productions, including
but not limited to any multimedia productions.
Any
broadcasts, such as TV and radio broadcasts, domestic or international,
must be cleared through BMI [in the USA, or SOCAN in Canada] who
collects monies directly from broadcast
station licensing. You, the Producer, do NOT pay any revenues. Revenues
are collected directly from broadcast licensing stations, not from you,
the Producer. However, you are required to file with BMI [SOCAN] a “Cue
Sheet”.

may select music cuts from any music in the SCCA MUSIC LIBRARY
and request those cuts by contacting the SCCA MUSIC LIBRARIAN.
The music required will be sent to the SCCA Member by email .
THE
MUSIC MAY NOT BE COPIED, LOANED,
OR USED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE SCCA MEMBER.
THE MUSIC MAY NOT BE STORED
INDEFINITELY ON A
HARD DRIVE
FOR FUTURE USE, BUT MAY BE COPIED TO A HARD DRIVE
TO PUT THE
MUSIC ON A VIDEO, AS PART OF THE EDITING PROCESS.
A credit must be given at the end of the video, showing the Title of
each piece of music,
the Music Publisher, and the words "Under Licence of SCCA".
At the time of editing the video, the member should make notes about
the music used
in case it later becomes necessary to submit Cue Sheets to the Music
Publisher
because the video is to be shown in a theatre or on television.
